Welcome to my blog!

Here you'll find my thoughts and experiences on life, poetry, topics centered on faith, health and anything else pressed upon me to speak about. All my work is original.

My aim is to create a platform for freedom of thought. Thoughts that initiate a change which becomes an action and after that a way of life. Thinking costs you nothing, not thinking can cost you everything.

Chris Brown is going to hell for beating Rihanna!

Well, well, well.

I'm glad you decided to click this note to read it! The real title of this note is, “Is Chris Brown a bad person for beating Rihanna?”

I just titled it like that to pull you in! ;)

Let me start off by saying I do NOT think Chris Brown is going to hell for beating Rihanna.
I’m listening to “Freeze” as I write this one! (It’s my shit!)

Anyway, I remember the first time I watched the video I was struck with a thought as I saw Chris Brown’s part in the video.

Then I began to think of his side of the story. I don’t think he should have did that to her, but once again we don’t know what she did to provoke him, or whether they were intoxicated.

Personally I think it was just an argument that got out of hand. Since the story came out they have reconciled and are together.

So why write this one?

As evident in my last note about BOMA, I learned what it means when people accuse someone of being judgmental lol. I wonder if that same judgment can be applied to this situation, or is it warranted since you (the people who dislike Chris Brown) don’t agree with what he did.

Let’s be real all it takes is the right circumstance for ANYONE to hit another person REGARDLESS of their sex. The rules are stacked against men though because they get hit on much more than women (excluding domestic violence cases) but if they hit back they get the label of “woman beater” and they get looked down upon.

Really, I think if you are woman enough to hit a man like you’re a man then just be prepared to be hit back. There is a new kind of man who doesn’t respect the woman like the old kind do. Back in the day to hit a woman was REAL foul and you would really get in trouble. Now it’s so commonplace that it has been accepted to an extent.

What I mean is, it’s so common that we’ve been made numb to it. Like if you watch a movie and laugh at people dying in it because it’s a movie. You would be more likely to be less empathetic if it happened in real life because your mind already finds it funny in a movie that is fantasy but portrayed in a real manner.

I don’t think he’s a bad person, I feel like he just made a bad mistake. The other side of that is, if he’s hit before and this is the biggest incident then I think he needs help. Men hitting women also depends on how much the woman is willing to put up with.

Anyway, she forgave him so we should too. If the person who was impacted by it directly forgives him, what problem should you have???

What do you think, is he a bad guy or not?

BOMA (Who cares how it’s spelled): A slap in the face of Jesus, or just a good time???

My status sparked this one: “If you’ve ever been to the church turned club called BOMA, what the fuck is wrong with you???”

Yes it’s harsh, judgmental? No. I didn’t say you would go to hell or you were a bad person, I just asked you a question.

When I heard about this place I thought it was a joke. Unfortunately the place is real.
To give you some background on this spot, it was a church when it was erected and at some point the congregation grew so large that they had to relocate to a bigger building. It could be a possibility that they simply wanted a different location. After they left someone purchased the building and decided to turn it into a nightclub.

This is taken from their website:

BoMA - Unique Event Venue
BoMA is an extraordinary venue that offers an unparalleled and unique experience that cannot be surpassed. In 2009 the BoMA management team transitioned the nightclub and restaurant into a distinctive event venue that will cater exclusively to events ranging from large scale corporate clients, fundraisers, business meetings and weddings to intimate receptions and private parties.

BoMA opened it's doors as a world class nightclub and restaurant in late 2006 after a 5 million dollar renovation to the turn of the century Baptist church located at 583 E. Broad St. No expense was spared in the 2 year transformation. Embodied within the BoMA walls on three diverse levels there are 5 separate rooms, two dance floors, six bars created by nationally acclaimed artists, soaring stained glass windows and a gracious outdoor patio.”

A CLUB! Are you serious?! That’s not the worst part though. The worst part is that above the doors it still reads: “FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH” and the crosses are still up in certain spots. Not to mention the pews are still present and so is the altar when the church used to conduct altar call! Souls were saved in the name of Jesus and now it’s become a place where people drink, get drunk, lust after one another, then possibly go home and fornicate.

Now my issue with this is obvious: How stupid are you? This pisses me off! How can you claim to be a believer and you tolerate disrespect such as this? Like, what are you on? Then people wonder why some churches are corrupt or just a place where people act like they’re down with the Lord – because of shit like this!

Now you may wonder why I am so angry about this. You may wonder why I am being so harsh. That’s because I have been through some things in my life that would make a weak person snap. I’ve been in spots where I plotted murder, not out of anger. I’m talking about alibis, insanity pleas, the whole nine.

The ONLY reason I didn’t was because of Jesus stepping in and taking care of it. So I’ll be damned if I let anyone disrespect Him while I’m able to do something about it. Sometimes you gotta come at people’s heads for them to realize how blind they are.
There will be NO tact, NO retraction, or modification of my statement. I don’t care if you’re offended, you should be.

There are no perfect people on this world, take me for example: I’ve been quick to anger, unforgiving, I’ve fornicated, lusted, fought, took joy in another person’s pain, lied, stolen, been vain, greedy, selfish, manipulative, and the list goes on.

With all that, I have NEVER challenged him or have done anything as disrespectful as this. This is like throwing a party at a cemetery, it’s OUT OF ORDER.

Now I’ve heard the weak excuse of that it’s just a building but let’s ACT like that’s valid for a second. Would you move into a place that was formerly an insane asylum? Would you build a house over a cemetery? Would you build a club in a place where Jesus once taught? Thought so. (SOME of you would though…)

Then I heard the even weaker “casting stones” excuse. Every time someone who believes in Jesus is doing wrong and gets called on it they pull this card. That’s like cheating on your boyfriend or girlfriend and saying, “Nobody’s perfect” thinking that’ll fly. I know my girl wouldn’t take that response well.

It’s a moot point! It’s like saying the sky is blue, man we KNOW that, all we have to do is look. You want a cookie for saying nobody’s perfect?? Get out of here with that crap. If that’s the case, killers would go free because they’re not perfect. Rapists would get off because they’re not perfect. WEAK argument!

Yea, I can be very stubborn and unsympathetic to other’s feelings at times, but it’s hard when you should know better.

FOR THE RECORD: I don’t think clubbing is a sin, and I have never said that.
Then one should wonder, what’s the definition of “clubbing”? That’s a broad definition because many people have their opinion on what it is. Let’s just agree that it takes place at a club, OK. What I think is a sin is the grinding on people you don’t know, or even your boyfriend or girlfriend. That’s not classy to me, and it’s not cute. I guess I’m old fashioned, or I just have sense. What I also think is a sin is getting drunk because everything should be done in moderation. Why do you think black people deteriorate so fast when they get older? It’s because of how they lived when they were young! It’s all fun until your liver fails, or your kidney’s fail, or you get heart disease from all the fried foods. It’s all love until you feel the effects of high fructose corn syrup later in life.

WHAT DO YOU THINK THEY PUT IN THE ALCOHOL? WHY DO YOU THINK CERTAIN ALCOHOLS ARE MARKETED ONLY TO BLACK PEOPLE?

They want to profit in your demise!

Anyway if I did say clubbing was a sin that would be a judgment because I don’t club. How can someone speak on something he doesn’t do? It wouldn’t make sense. This is not about a club, this is about a place that stands for something that was turned into nothing.

Anyway, I think it’s wrong and that’s how I see it. You can feel how you want to feel. Thanks for reading.

Because You Said, "No..."

You know it just hit me...

A complexity such as this couldn't have been explained more simply.

Images, sick ones, people dying. Kids seperated from parents with no hope of reuniting, endless crying.

War no peace. I've got a piece of war in me so I guess because of you I'm a raw entity.

12 foot figure dressed in all black, haunting places that it should not be at.

I can't be touched no matter how close they get, so that means scary movies are really irrelevant.

We don't take the time to understand how much you actually do, but if we did we could never stop thanking you.

You know me, I've never been all into religion and still you protect me because I'm one of your children.

satan is busy trying to take minds on his train wreck ride. If we saw what was out there we'd go crazy I surmise.

POWER! You said no and he HAS to obey who else could run this so easily?

Jesus your Holy Spirit keeps us from being consumed, so I thank you for that and the heat that fills my room.

You said no...
